How to write a craft book…

I’ve been asked by Stitch Craft Create to write a blog about my do’s and don’ts when writing a craft book, which you can check out here.

It was a bit of a funny one to write, as a) it feels like SO LONG AGO that I wrote Just Sew Stories – in fact it was over a year ago. I remember posing -awkwardly- in glamorous snowy Walthamstow at the first shoots (modelling the leather clutch project, darling) and then gambolling around a sunny Bethnal Green garden with a festival headdress on for the last.

And also, b), I don’t really see myself as any kind of expert…

BUT I did learn a lot along the way, which you might want to check out if you fancy having a go yourself.

Plus have a nose around the Stitch Craft Create website, it’s aimed at crafty business owners (or people who want to be), and there’s lots of real experts’ advice on there.

Thanks again for your great article Katie – it is fascinating to get a real perspective on what it is like to go through the process of writing a craft book – you may not ‘feel’ like an expert but your tips are definitely straight from the horse’s mouth!
